Shaquille O’Neal has expressed the belief that Joel Embiid deserves the MVP award over Nikola Jokic. The legendary Lakers’ big is fan of both Embiid and Jokic, however he would have given the award to the center from Cameroon.

Embiid has missed 18 games this season, but he’s extremely dominant leading the Sixers to the top of the Eastern Conference.

On the other hand, Jokic is the most consistent performer in the NBA this season helping the Nuggets get past a mediocre start at the beginning of the season.

Jokic has been averaging 26.4 points on 56.8% shooting including 41.1% from deep, 11 rebounds, and 8.7 assists in 58 games. Nuggets are fourth in the West with a 38-20 record.

Embiid has been averaging 30 points on 51.3% shooting including 37.5% from deep, 11.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 31 games.
