Frank Vogel addressed the Lakers decision to not re-sign Damian Jones, after his second 10-day contract expired.

Vogel, the head coach of the Lakers, said ‘the door is not closed’ for Jones, but the team is evaluating its roster options ahead of the trade deadline (March 25).

“Frank Vogel said “the door is not closed” with Damian Jones and the Lakers, but the team wants to maintain flexibility around the trade deadline and evaluate all of their roster options,” Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.

That said, Vogel and the Lakers could consider adding Jones to the roster, if they fail to land a big man (e.g Andre Drummond, DeMarcus Cousins) before the trade deadline.
