Kyle Kuzma led the scoring for the Los Angeles Lakers, helping his team defeat the Indiana Pacers. He scored 15 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter when the reigning champions needed a push to edge their opponents. After the game the Lakers’ head coach Frank Vogel talked about Kuzma’s importance to the Lakers.

“That’s what we need from Kuz,” Vogel said. “We need that type of performance and proficiency on both ends on a consistent basis. He’s capable, he’s shown that he can really help us win a championship last year. He’s one of our most important players.

“It’s my job to make sure we’re putting him in the right position to succeed. His role doesn’t change if he starts or if he comes off the bench. He’s going to impact both sides of the ball.”
