Former Knick Larry Hughes talked about his short, but wild ride in New York with Ryan Hollins & Brendan Haywood. He said that preparation was something the Knicks lacked, especially during their pregame shootarounds. Hughes remembers his longest shootaround with New York being only eight minutes long.

(Via The Opinionated 7 Footers):

Larry Hughes: “We had Mike D’Antoni as the coach. We would have 5-6 minute shootarounds.”

“The longest one was 8 minutes that I actually timed. It was 8 minutes almost to the T, it was like 7:59.”

“So you know what I did? Stopped going to shootaround.”
