The Utah Jazz crushed the Nuggets in Game 3 of their first round matchup, winning 124-87.
Mike Conley played for the first time in the series and showed no signs of rust, scoring 27 points. Rudy Gobert outplayed Nikola Jokic and finished with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Donovan Mitchell scored 20 points. All three of Utah’s stars were rested in the fourth quarter.
Jokic led the nuggets in scoring with 15 points. Only three Denver players finished the game in double figures.
The Jazz jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter and never looked back. The Nuggets never cut the lead to less than 10 points after the first quarter.
One key to Utah’s victory was their excellent shooting, as they shot 18-37 on 3-pointers. The Jazz also out-rebounded the Nuggets 50-44 despite Denver’s big lineup.
Game 4 will be Sunday at 9:00 p.m. (Eastern Time.)
