Now that parity has re-established itself across the NBA landscape, there are plenty of reasons to be excited about the 2019-20 season.
After the Golden State Warriors more or less controlled the NBA over the last five seasons, excitement for the 2019-20 campaign is higher than its been in a long time. Golden State is still very much in the playoff picture, but the inevitability of its success is no more, sending out optimism across the league.
It’s a sentiment backed up by one of the wildest offseasons in recent memory. A record amount of money was doled out in free agency to complement multiple trades of the blockbuster variety. Player empowerment is in full force, with six of last season’s 15 All-NBA members now residing on new teams.
The championship run used to be the be-all, end-all of any given season, but that’s no longer the case in a league driven by storylines wherever they can be found. There’s a surplus of burgeoning young talent across the league many are excited to watch grow to new heights and let’s not forget about the superstars who set the present-day tone.
Whether you’re invested in the shaping of the playoff picture or the growth of a particular youngster, the league isn’t without something to entertain just about anybody who takes the time to watch.
The NBA does its best to assert dominance on each day of the calendar year. As the game continues to expand, its those between October and June that will once again have fans frantically shifting back and forth on League Pass in an attempt to capture as much of what is sure to be an amazing season.
